Ideas For Baby Showers

Baby showers are organised for the new mummies to-be or new mummies.

Usually a close friend or colleague will organise this for the expectant mom. And recently, it is also fashionable to organise the baby showers for both expectant moms and dads.

Some parents-to-be really do not like surprises. Do consult with the parents-to-be and a date to accomodate the schedules of all the important persons for example, first time expectant grandparents-to-be. Consider those out-of-town relatives and response time to the invitations too. This especially important during this period of emotional and hormonal changes.

Some people prefer to organise showers for new mummies rather than for expecting mothers. This is because the new mummies will be less anxious and it is a proud day to show off the new bundle of joy. Also planning a celebration towards the last months before the birth of baby can sometimes bring unexpected anxieties as some babies do get delivered earlier than expected.

Celebrating after the birth of the child allows you to choose a theme that is appropriate for the baby boy or girl. It is a time to drool over the new born, tease and pinch those pink chubby cheeks. Obviously, the baby is oblivious to all these excitement and has absolutely no idea what's happening. So don't bother to organise a party for the new babe, organise it for the proud parents, grandparents, relatives and friends instead!

Don't attempt to invite other babies unless the new mum don't mind the noise and competition!

One of the most important thing to note while doing your party planning is to schedule your party time when your baby is awake so that he won't be too cranky and cries non stop. The high decibels can be quite unbearable.
