Here's some easy and quick home made Christmas costume ideas: 1. Santa Helper's dress idea I am not an expert on sewing, but a few years ago, I did try to make a costume to wear for a friend's Christmas party.I bought a red bathrobe with hood. I cut it short to the waistline. I bought white fax-fur from a local store and used tape to tape the fur all around onto the edge of the hood and hem. I bought a bustier red top and a red flare skirt with a thick black belt to match. Similarly, I taped the fax-fur around the hem of the skirt and the edges of the bustier top. I bought matching red gloves and also taped the fax fur at the gloves' edges. I can't find a pair of red boots and have to make do with my good old black boots. At the end of the party, I got one of the prizes for creative home made costume. 2. North Star Baby costume Why not dress your baby in a cute north star costume? I used two adult size, bright yellow towels. I cut out the star shape and sew the sides inside out. I cut out a circle in the middle of the towel big enough for my baby's face. I put on a matching bright yellow jumper suit for baby. My baby had many curious looks when he appeared at the Christmas party. We even posed for pictures at the Christmas tree, no prizes for guessing where he positioned him or the for one of the pictures. Do you have any costume ideas to share, do contact me here.
