Magical Rainbow Party ideas

Plan a magical rainbow party for your baby or kid.

Yes, you have painted a rainbow in your baby's room months before he or she was born? Great! If you did not, no problem. Get some rainbow stickers available at your nearest DIY shops. Or use huge posters of all the rainbow colors and draw semi circles. Piece each rainbow color poster boards together and stick them together with industrial tape.

Tape the rainbow strips onto the party area which is usually your living room. Duplicate another set of rainbow in your child's room. Babies and children love rainbow colors especially the bright ones.

1. Invitations

Print your rainbow party invitations with a rainbow on the cover or cut the card out in the shape of a rainbow. Or you can make the card fold like a fan or a fan when opened. You may print your baby's picture superimposed on picture of a child sliding down the rainbow or climbing it. Or just print your baby's face on the top right of the rainbow and add a comment box with a cute sentence.

On the invite you can write: "What to come to a magical rainbow party to celebrate our baby's birthday? The special colorful day will be on date, time, venue. Do come in the colors of the rainbow as the baby or kid loved this exciting arrays of colors.

2. Decorations

Decorate your home or party venue with rainbow colored streamers and balloons. Use rainbow color poster paper to cut out the words: Congratulations to your new born! or Name of baby is the new born star! Congratulations to proud parents' names.

If the party is for a young kid, decorate the party venue with the kid's rainbow color suits or his or her rainbow drawings.

Have a white or cream color table cloth and laid on rainbow colored disposables.

3. Party Cake

For the baby shower or birthday party you can make a rainbow shaped party cake or a plain vanilla cake with rainbow color fruits on top of the cake! Alternatively you can have multi color and flavored cup cakes laid in the shape of a rainbow. Or you can put magical gliter powder on your cup cakes or cake to made that colorful effect.

4. Party Favors

Match your party favors to your rainbow party theme by making or purchasing rainbow colored bags. Throw in colorful multi vitamins sweets, M&Ms, mini apple and fruit juice and a pack of travel size baby powder, shampoo and conditioner.

5. Face painting

The kids will love this! Buy rainbow color face paints and let the kids use their imagination to paint their friends' faces. Have an adult take photos of each child. Dowload and the pictures and paste it on the poster board and have fun.

6. Party Music

Play children's songs, Barney and Friends, Hi-5 music or "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" by Judy Garland.

7. Party Game

Play name the colors of the rainbow game, name the story books the kids love that has many colors etc
