1. Starting Point : Making the Announcement for Your Wedding

You want to announce to the whole world that you are getting married? Consider having an engagement party. The engagement party is a chance to introduce both the future bride and groom's friends and relatives. Do your own engagement party planning today!

2. Work Out a Wedding Time Schedule and Get Help

For a start, work on a planning checklist, and the timeline to achieve all those items. Factor in the peak period and low season of your jobs. It will be a good idea to take leave in advance (for example take leave a week before your wedding day).

3. Budgeting for Your Wedding

One of the most important planning tips is to work on your wedding budget checklist first and carefully. Once you have an idea how much you will like to spend. You will need to start looking around and compare prices for the various wedding services.

4. Form Your Dream Team For Your Wedding Party

Need help? There are two ways: Get a professional planner or friends to help with the wedding planning and execution.

Ask your friends or relatives to help you with the following: the wedding invitations, the wedding engagement party, wedding ceremony, wedding decorations, shop for wedding gifts, wedding gift wrapping your wedding favors etc.

If your wedding budget permits and you want a stress free wedding, engage a wedding planner to work with you on your wedding needs.

Choosing the wedding theme for your wedding will help you package together the same look and feel and it also sets the mood and environment for the wedding.

Table seating arrangements maybe tricky and sometimes complicated. You will need to study your invited guests, their idiosynacrasies and their social network. Do expect your guests to swop places among themselves and be gracious about it when it happens.

7. Selecting Your Engagement, Wedding, Destination Wedding and Honeymoon Dates and Locations

Selecting a wedding date may seem easy but it take a whole lot of considerations. You may want to check out your families social calendars, so that your date will not clash with another celebration. Once you nailed down a date, get ready another alternative date, just in case the wedding reception venue is not available.

Some couples decide on a weekday wedding while most had theirs on a weekend. If you do decide to hold your wedding on a working day, do expect lower attendance or latecomers. Also consider that your bridal party will have to take leave just to be there on a weekday for your wedding.

Checking out all the honeymoon destinations or for destination wedding can be overwhelming. First, there are so many attractive brochures and travel ads with attractive travel and accomodation rates it is no wonder all the resorts are after your tourist dollar. Do look to your friends and relatives for recommendations.

Do spend time looking through all the gowns for that perfect Cinderella gown and Prince charming tuxedo, after all, you get to wear it once especially the wedding gown.
